Bouquets are subject to color variety/ cultivar changes. Bouquets are made with what is available, and are subject to change. Daffodils/ Narcissus are hand picked and harvested at budding stage and will continue to open up and bloom while in fresh, clean water. Trim stems 1/2in every few days, as well as replenish water. Be sure to display them in in-direct sunlight, away from and heat sources or drastic temperature changes.

We are at the mercy of mother nature! Flowers will be ready when they are ready. Stems will come wrapped with paper. Follow care instructions for best vase life.

To care for a daffodil bouquet and keep it looking fresh for as long as possible, follow these steps:

1. Trim the Stems:

  • Cut the stems of the daffodils at a 45-degree angle under running water, or submerge them in water while cutting. This prevents air from entering the stems, which can block water absorption.

  • Trim about 1–2 inches off the stems, even if you just received the bouquet.

2. Place in Fresh Water:

  • Immediately place the bouquet in a clean vase filled with cool water. Ensure the water level is high enough to cover the stems. You can add flower food if provided, but daffodils can thrive without it.

3. Change the Water Daily:

  • Replace the water every day to keep the flowers hydrated and remove any bacteria that might cause them to wilt prematurely. Be sure to rinse the vase as well.

4. Remove Any Foliage Below Water:

  • Any leaves or stems that are submerged in the water can cause bacteria buildup and shorten the lifespan of your flowers. Trim or remove any foliage touching the water.

5. Keep the Flowers in a Cool Spot:

  • Daffodils prefer a cool, well-lit area but not direct sunlight or near heat sources (like radiators, fireplaces, or appliances). Ideal temperatures range from 60°F to 65°F (15°C to 18°C).

6. Avoid Mixing with Other Flowers:

  • Daffodils release a sap that can make other flowers (like tulips or hyacinths) wilt faster. If you want to combine them with other flowers, consider placing them in separate vases.

7. Cut the Stems Again Every Few Days:

  • For longer-lasting flowers, trim the stems by another inch or so every couple of days. This helps the flowers absorb more water.

By following these tips, you should be able to enjoy your daffodil bouquet for about a week or more!
